Battery & Charging

Learn more about the TB20 removable battery system, charging convenience, and everyday battery care.

Is the Kornorge TB20 battery removable?

Yes. The TB20 features a removable 48V 25Ah battery that can be taken off the bike for convenient indoor charging or storage.

The removable design is especially useful for riders who do not have a power outlet near where the bike is parked.

Brakes & Tires

Common questions about brake pad wear, brake noise, tire seating, and routine tire care.

How often do the brake pads need to be replaced?

Brake pad life varies depending on riding style, rider weight, terrain, weather conditions, speed, and how frequently the brakes are used.

Inspect the brake pads regularly and replace them when the friction material becomes excessively worn or braking performance noticeably decreases. More frequent checks are recommended for riders who regularly travel downhill or ride at higher speeds.

What should I do if the tire bead comes out of the rim?

If the tire is not seated evenly on the rim, stop riding and correct the tire position before using the bike again.

  1. Support the bike so the affected wheel is not carrying the bike’s weight.
  2. Release the air from the tire.
  3. Check that the inner tube is positioned correctly and is not pinched between the tire and rim.
  4. Reseat the tire bead evenly around the rim, using the molded safety line on the tire as a visual reference.
  5. Add air gradually while checking both sides of the tire to make sure the bead remains evenly seated.
  6. Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure shown on the tire sidewall or in the owner’s manual.

If the tire will not seat evenly or repeatedly comes out of the rim, stop using the bike and contact Kornorge support or a qualified bicycle technician.

What should I do if the brakes are making unusual noise?

Some brake noise can occur if the brake rotors or pads are wet, dirty, misaligned, or worn. Check the brake system for visible contamination, rubbing, or damage.

Do not apply lubricant or oil to the brake rotors or brake pads. If the noise continues, braking performance feels reduced, or you are unsure how to inspect the system, contact Kornorge support or have the bike checked by a qualified bicycle technician.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Helpful guidance for routine care and troubleshooting common TB20 performance issues.

What should I check if the motor is not working properly?

If the motor appears to be operating abnormally, first check that the motor communication cables and electrical connectors are securely connected.

Loose or disconnected wiring can affect motor operation, especially on a dual-motor system. If the issue continues after checking the connections, stop riding and contact Kornorge customer support for further assistance.

Does the Kornorge TB20 require regular maintenance?

Yes. Regular maintenance helps keep the TB20 performing safely and reliably over time.

We recommend periodically checking the brakes, tires, chain, drivetrain, suspension, electrical connections, and battery condition. Keeping the bike clean and addressing wear early can help extend component life and maintain consistent riding performance.
